Eamonn Joseph Gordon

April 3, 1952-January 7, 2007

Eamonn Gordon touched the lives of so many in Harford County in his 30 plus years as an attorney and friend.  He was known for the pro bono work he would accept in order to help people that needed proper representation but could not afford it.  In that light, and to honor his legacy, we have founded the Eamonn J. Gordon Scholarship Fund.

Its intent is to offer scholarships to the Harford Community College Paralegal program in the Fall of 2007. Hopefully, if the Fund grows as we expect, it will then offer scholarships to students in the University of Maryland Law Program. The idea is to not only give these scholarships based on merit, but need as well. Eamonn worked hard to get through law school and had nothing handed to him. We want to help students that have the same situation.

Board members will coordinate the  process from the school nominations to the selections by the Committee, all culminating on the Annual Awards night held in Bel Air, Maryland.  The initial intent is to award a minimum scholarship to each student, with larger scholarships going to the top four students selected by the Committee.

This site will continue to undergo many changes as the Fund grows and more participants become involved.
